1. Know the Exam Format

The TCF includes mandatory sections (listening comprehension, language structures, reading comprehension) and optional sections (oral and written expression). Familiarize yourself with the number of questions and time limits.

2. Assess Your Starting Level

Take a practice test on the France Éducation International website to identify your strengths and weaknesses.

3. Work on Listening Comprehension

Listen to French podcasts (RFI, France Inter). Just 20 minutes a day is enough to make rapid progress.

4. Build Vocabulary and Grammar

Review verb conjugations, tense agreement and the subjunctive mood. Read French newspapers for current vocabulary.

5-7. Manage Your Time and Stay Confident

Practice within time limits during revision sessions. Structure your writing (introduction, body, conclusion). Practice speaking with a conversation partner. The night before, get a good rest.
